Systray icon (when "Show the systray icon" does not show in Gnome 3. See the attachement.
Also the icon is not visible at all when I turn on "Topicon plus" extension.

I get a floating jedit icon at the top left of my workspaces. The slightly anoying part is that it will follow every workspace :/ Right now I just disabled "Show system icon" under Appearance. |
