The FTP/SFTP plugin can currently use a private key file to authenticate to SFTP servers.
Instead of asking for the private key's password, it should check first to see if
it's available from Pageant, an ssh-agent.

Although now that FTP plugin remembers passphrases, you no longer have to re-type
your passphrase anymore, so I have a workaround that works for me.
