While running jedit under Mint 17.0 Cinnamon, I find myself back at the login screen. It is as if I am being logged out. This only happens while running jedit. I am using jedit 5.3.1. I have tried installs via the Software Manager (deb package) and using the java installer (jar) available on the site. The problem persists in either case.

and I am unable to reproduce this problem from cinnamon. Do you have the same problem
when you start jEdit with the -nosettings option?
